Development of a three-zone combustion model for stratified-charge spark-ignition engine

A thermodynamic model for calculating the operating process in cylinder of a spark-ignition engine with internal mixture formation and stratified air-fuel charge based on volume balance method was developed. The takes into account change working fluid during piston movement cylinder. equation processes direct fuel injection compiled. adiabatic charge, consisting fuel-air air volume. From heat equation, gasoline evaporation stream from surface film due to external transfer determined. Basic equations combustion-expansion were derived, taking three zones corresponding combustion products, volumes. exchange between walls above-piston Dependences determining temperature considered pressure obtained.
